AGRICULTURE TRAINEESHIP PROGRAM IN THE NETHERLANDS

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Trainees will be fully immersed in day-to-day farm operations. Depending on your placement, your responsibilities may include:

    • Planting, harvesting, and maintaining vegetables, fruits, or flowers
    • Caring for livestock such as cows, pigs, or poultry
    • Supporting greenhouse operations, including pruning, watering, and packaging plants
    • Assisting with machinery operation or maintenance
    • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace
    • Adhering to safety regulations and instructions from supervisors

    Visa and Legal Support

    Participants will be provided with a long-term national visa for traineeships, allowing them to work legally in the Netherlands. Visa processing typically takes about 3.5 months from the date of application.     Who Can Apply?

    To be eligible for this traineeship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

    Educational Background

    • Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated within the last 1.5 years
    • Field of study must be agriculture-related (veterinary students/graduates are not eligible)

    Age Requirement

    • Applicants must be between 18 and 29.5 years old

    Language Skills

    • Minimum B1 level of English (assessed through an interview)

    Financial Readiness

    • Must be able to cover travel, visa fees, and initial living costs

    Personal Qualities

    • Strong work ethic, team spirit, and eagerness to learn
    • Responsible behavior and a positive attitude
    • Leadership potential is considered a plus

    Nationality Restrictions

    • Open to all nationalities except applicants from Pakistan, African countries, Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Cuba, Libya, and Syria
